The news report in Sydney Morning Herald stated, “Cummins has already said that he will not return for the T20 tournament this season, despite the multimillion-dollar IPL contract.”
BCCI has already declared that the remaining 31 matches of the IPL 2021 will be played in the UAE. Organizers were forced to suspend the IPL 2021 midway due to the rising threat of Coronavirus in India that also infected several players during the league.
T20 world cup is also scheduled to be held in UAE in September-October 2021. Cricket Australia has to make sure that its players should be fit and energetic before the tournament begins.
