1. 263/5 (RCB vs PWI)
The highest score in IPL history is 263/5 which was made by Virat Kohli’s RCB.
This score was made in the match between RCB and PWI in 2013 where explosive batsman Chris Gayle scored 173 runs in just 66 balls with 17 sixes and 13 fours.
173 runs is still the topmost score by any individual player in the T20 history. RCB won this match by a huge margin of 130 runs.
2. 248/3 (RCB vs GL)
The 2nd spot in this list of highest runs in IPL is also occupied by RCB.
This score of 248/3 was made by RCB against Gujarat Lions in IPL 2016. The two biggest names of RCB Virat Kohli and AB Devilliers took their team to this mammoth total.
With the help of Kohli’s 109 runs and AB’s 129 runs, RCB managed to make this huge total of 248 runs with the loss of 3 wickets.
RCB won this match by 144 runs.
3. 246/5 (CSK vs RR)
One of the most successful teams of IPL CSK has the record of the 3rd highest team total.
246/5 was scored by CSK against RR in the year 2010. Murali Vijay and Albie Morkel were the batsmen who made this score possible.
Murali Vijay made 127 runs in just 56 balls and Albie Morkel made 62 runs in 34 balls. This rapid contribution by both the batsmen powered CSK to get a total of 246 with the loss of 5 wickets.
CSK won this match by 23 runs.
4. 245/6 (KKR vs KXIP)
Another strong team of IPL KKR also has their name included in this list of 10 highest team totals.
KKR made this score of 245/6 against KXIP in IPL 2018. KKR managed to score this total due to 3 big players of their team namely Sunil Narine, Andre Russel, and Dinesh Karthik.
Narine scored 75 off 36 balls, Karthik made 50 off 23 balls and Andre Russel made 31 off 14 balls which made this score possible.

5. 240/5 (CSK vs KXIP)
The 5th place in this list of top 10 highest scores in IPL is again occupied by CSK.
CSK made a total of 240/5 against KXIP in the very 1st season of IPL in 2008. The top scorer for CSK was Mike Hussey who made 116 runs in 54 balls and propelled CSK to 240.

6. 235/1 (RCB vs MI)
RCB yet again occupies the 6th spot by scoring the 6th highest team total in IPL history.
RCB made 235/1 against MI in IPL 2015. RCB managed to get this score due to the terrific performance of their star players Virat Kohli and AB Devilliers.
Virat made 82 runs off 50 balls and AB made 133 runs off 59 balls. This splendid performance of both these players took RCB to 235 runs at the loss of just 1 wicket.
RCB managed to win this match by 39 runs.
7. 232/2 (KXIP vs RCB)
One of the weakest teams of IPL KXIP has the record of the 7th highest runs in IPL history.
KXIP made this score of 232/2 against RCB in IPL 2011. This time RCB was at the receiving end which has occupied the 1st, 2nd, and 6th spot in this list of top 10 highest runs in IPL history.
This score became possible due to the explosive innings of Adam Gilchrist and Shaun Marsh who scored 106 runs and 79 runs respectively.
KXIP won this match by 111 runs.
8. 232/2 (KKR vs MI)
KKR again managed to get on this list. After occupying the 4th spot, they again managed to occupy the 8th spot.
KKR made 232/2 against Mumbai Indians in IPL 2019 where explosive innings of Andre Russel, Chris Lynn and Shubman Gill helped KKR to reach this total.
Andre Russel made 80 runs off 40 balls, Chris Lynn made 76 runs off 45 balls and Shubman Gill made 54 runs off 29 balls.
KKR won this match by 34 runs.
9. 231/4 (DD vs KXIP)
Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) is the 9th spot holder in this list of the top 10 highest team totals in IPL.
DD made this score of 231/4 against KXIP in IPL 2011 where David Warner’s and Virender Sehwag’s innings of 77 runs each helped DD to achieve 231 runs in 20 overs.
Delhi won this match by 29 runs.
10. 231/4 (KXIP vs CSK)
KXIP again managed to get into this list of Highest team totals in IPL history by scoring 231 runs against CSK.
KXIP made 231/4 against CSK in IPL 2014.
