Former Indian fast bowler R Vinay Kumar is appointed as a talent scout of Mumbai Indians. The owner of Mumbai Indians, Akash Ambani said that he is happy that Vinay has become a part of Mumbai Indians’ talent scout program.
He said, “Mumbai Indians always finds and encourages new talent. I believe Vinay will carry forward our thinking and will strengthen scouting.
Vinay said, “I am honored to have this opportunity to reunite with Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians strive to excel in every aspect of the game and talent hunt is undoubtedly their biggest strength. This is a new chapter and personally, I consider it as an opportunity to give back to cricket what I have got from it.

Before this, former Indian wicket-keeper Parthiv Patel was also included as a part of MI’s talent scout setup.
Vinay Kumar was a part of MI’s winning campaign in 2015 and 2017. He debuted in IPL in 2008 and took 105 wickets in his IPL journey.

R Vinay Kumar played an important role in winning 2 Ranji trophy titles for Karnataka. He took 442 wickets in his Ranji trophy career. He has also played 41 international matches for India.
He took retirement from first-class and international cricket in February this year.
