Let us tell you that IPL is being played in UAE for 2 years.

Last year, half of the tournament was played in India but due to the spread of the Covid-19 among the players, half of the tournament was then shifted to UAE where CSK defeated KKR and became the champions for the 4th time.

The total number of teams in the Indian premier league will now be 10 from the next year. The 2 new teams who will join the tournament from IPL 2022 are Lucknow and Ahmedabad.

RPSG group headed by Sanjeev Goenka bought the Lucknow franchise for a price of 7090 crores. Whereas, CVC capital bought the Ahmedabad franchise for 5625 crores.

Sanjeev Goenka is not new to the IPL. Before this, he bought the Rising Pune Supergiants who were part of the IPL for 2 years.
